Airfield Trail

When we filmed our nature video we decided to explore some more of Fort Worth and their trails so we drove out to the Airfields trail head. This was a nice little pathway that lopped back and forth across the river which contained a little area with waterfalls. It was interesting because the path was paved, and you could tell the area was shaped by people, yet there were tree branches that still reached out over the trail and left their own print. The trial was fairly busy with joggers and lots of families. The waterfall area was filled with families dressed their best taking Christmas card photos. It was interesting to watch everyone on the trial because they all seemed to be using the area for some purpose of their own, whether that was to take photos, exercise, have a picnic or to film a video like us. It was nice to see the trial in use, yet at the same time it seemed like few were actually enjoying the nature around them for what it was. Also with so many people around their was a lot of trash and noise, taking a way the peacefulness I usually find when outside. On the other side it is exciting to see people outside, and I enjoyed being out in the sun and enjoying the sound of water near by because I don’t get outside often. Some of the most fun I had though was climbing around on the rocks and exploring in the trees off of the trail, which we had to do for our video. We found these holes in the ground as well as a bird nests and other signs that the area was still full of animals even with the high traffic of people.
